Actress Emma Roberts has shut the rumors of her performing Britney Spears in her biopic. The speculation that rose after Spears’ former assitant Felicia Culotta, said that Emma should once portray the role of Britney, in the biopic. After Spears’ assistant suggested the actress should play her in a feature adaptation of the singer’s memoir The Woman In Me, Emma Roberts seems more than prepared to take on the portrayal, explaining that she’s been preparing for it from at least last 20 years.

The speculations came after Britney’s former assistant and confidante Felicia Culotta told TMZ that Emma should play the role. While she expressed her thoughts on Emma essaying the role, fans began to believe this as a soon-to-occur event, On this, in a latest interview with Cosmopolitan, Emma Roberts has put a full stop. She said, “I was like, I love her assistant,” I mean, it’s my true dream to play Britney Spears. It’s a rumour, but I hope maybe it’ll come true”.
The Wild Child star further continued talking about how much she hails Britney Spears’ music. She added, “I sing Britney to my son in the bath all the time. I’m always like, ‘God, he must think I’m so weird.’ That’s some millennial parenting.”
Culotta in her talks even suggested Timothee Chalamet should take over the role of Britney’s ex Justin Timberlake, and Drew Barrymore as the personal assistant herself, who has been working with Spears since 1997.
Emma is a well- known Hollywood actress, recognised for her work in the horror and thriller genres, which have established her as a scream queen. Roberts made her acting debut in the crime film Blow in 2001. She went on to star in several films like Aquamarine, Nancy Drew, Wild Child, and Hotel For Dogs.
