In the teaser, Emily Watson’s character, Valya Harkonnen, declares, “Sacrifices must be made.” The video illustrates the rigorous training the Bene Gesserit undergoes to wield power and achieve complete mental control. Despite their influence over those in authority, the sisterhood has yet to become the formidable force depicted in the films. Those in power struggle against their influence.
The teaser briefly features Tabu as Sister Francesca, clad in a black outfit with a cape, standing confidently with her arms crossed and gazing directly at the camera. Although she doesn’t speak in the teaser, her costume exudes power. It remains to be seen how her role will contribute to the ongoing power struggles in the Imperium. A May report from Variety described her character as “strong, intelligent, and alluring.”

Inspired by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s novel Sisterhood of Dune, the series features a star-studded cast including Tabu, Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Johdi May, and Travis Fimmel, among others. The teaser reveals that it will begin streaming in November.
