The closure report indicated that alongside unsuccessful projects and conflicts with friends, Disha Salian’s father had misappropriated her hard-earned funds by using them to support a female employee, with whom he was involved in an affair, at his spice manufacturing business in Thane. Disha was discovered deceased on June 8, 2020, just days prior to the passing of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Amid the ongoing allegations and counterclaims regarding Disha Salian’s death, new information has surfaced suggesting that she took her own life as a result of financial betrayal by her father, Satish Salian. In a startling development, the closure report reiterated that her father’s actions contributed significantly to her distress.

A report from Midday indicated that Salian was experiencing significant stress stemming from both business and family matters. She was employed as a celebrity manager at Cornerstone Company, and the stagnation of two projects she was overseeing contributed to her distress.

Furthermore, the report highlighted that Salian’s friends and her fiancé, Roy, revealed in their police statements that she had shared her concerns regarding her father’s affair and how he misused the funds she provided for business purposes on another woman, which caused her considerable sorrow. Additionally, a prior post-mortem examination concluded that there was no indication of any form of assault, attributing Disha’s death to a severe head injury.

In response to the findings of the closure report, Satish Salian’s attorney, Nilesh Ojha, remarked, “It is crucial to recognize that, according to the definitive ruling of the Supreme Court, any closure report submitted in an inquiry under Section 174 CrPC (Accidental Death Report/ADR) lacks evidentiary value and cannot be utilized by the accused in cases where cognizable offenses are clearly evident. Thus, the previous closure report carries no legal significance.”
