So here’s an exciting announcement for all the Chris Hemsworth fans across the globe. The Thor fame actor is soon to portray the character of a Prince Charming in an upcoming Disney fairytale movie. After a spectacular peformance in Thor, Chris will be seen ruling the hearts by his new character.

Details about the movie are still under wraps, however as per the reports from Deadline, the 41-year old Marvel actor is at the negotiating stage with the makers. This forthcoming movie would be directed by Wonka director Paul King. The writing and screenplay so far, is said to be taken over by Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker, but official announcement on the same is still awaited.
One of the close sources from the development revealed that even though the character is termed as Prince Charming, he will nowhere be connected to the story of Cinderella. Internet is raising its expectations after the announcement as the film might take a twisted animated turn, instead of an adorable romantic cinderalla tale. This potential role would mark another significant collaboration between the actor and Disney, following his decade-plus tenure as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, the actor appeared as the God of Thunder in 2011’s Thor and most recently reprised his role in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder and in the second season of Disney Plus’s animated series What If…?.
On the workfront, Chris Hemsworth is currently filming the thriller Crime 101 for Amazon MGM Studios. Earlier this year, Hemsworth was also rewarded for his striking contributions to entertainment with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during the Furiosa promotional tour. The Prince Charming project seems to follow Disney’s strategy of reimagining classic characters, similar to their approach with “Cruella.” Disney had previously brought “Cinderella” to live-action in the year 2015, which starred Lily James as Cindeella and Cate Blanchett as the stepmother. This new project is expected to take a fresh approach to the character, offering a “sideways reinvention” of the classic prince.
