Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical drama, Chhaava, has shown impressive growth at the box office. The film, which hit theatres on February 14, opened with Rs 31 crore on its first day and followed up with an even stronger performance on its second day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava box office day 2 collections stood at Rs 36.5 crore, bringing the total earnings to Rs 67.5 crore within 48 hours.
The film has generated considerable interest among moviegoers, particularly in Maharashtra, where Pune recorded the highest occupancy at 89.25%. Mumbai followed with 74.75%, while Hyderabad and Chennai saw occupancy rates of 61.25% and 59.75%, respectively. In Delhi-NCR, where Bollywood films typically perform well, Chhaava had a lower occupancy of 36.75%, though the number of screenings remained high.
With 6,407 shows running across India, Chhaava is seeing strong footfall in major urban centers, helping it maintain steady momentum at the box office. The film has also made a mark overseas, adding Rs 10 crore from international markets.
