In a significant move, renowned director Steven Soderbergh has signed on to direct the upcoming spy thriller Black Bag marking his latest collaboration with Focus Feature. The film is scheduled to be released at theatres on March 14, 2025, and has generated considerable excitement within the film industry and among movie enthusiasts.
Black Bag is a riveting espionage tale, penned by writer David Koepp, known for his work on Jurassic Park and Mission: Impossible. The film will feature an ensemble cast led by Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender. Producer and frequent Soderbergh collaborator Gregory Jacobs is also on board, bringing his extensive experience to the production. Jacobs’ long-standing professional relationship with Soderbergh dates back to their work on films like Magic Mike and Logan Lucky, ensuring a seamless collaboration on Black Bag. Casey Silver will also produce the upcoming movie.
