BadNewzBoxOffice: Anand Tiwari’s much-awaited Bollywood romantic comedy “Bad Newz” premiered on July 19, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Although the film garnered “disappointing” reviews from viewers, it debuted strongly at the box office, marking one of the highest openings in Vicky Kaushal’s career. Despite the initial criticism, the film saw significant growth over the weekend, surpassing the 30 Crore mark in domestic box office collections.

According to Sacnilk, “Bad Newz” earned Rs 8.50 crores on Friday, Vicky’s highest solo debut, surpassing “Uri: The Surgical Strike” (Rs 8.20 crores). After registering a solid start at the box office, Bad Newz witnessed impressive growth during its first weekend.

According to the portal, the film earned a total ₹ 10.25 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 11 Cr on Sunday, taking its domestic box office total to a whopping ₹ 29.55 Cr. Despite its solid box office performance, “Bad Newz” still falls short of its prequel, “Good Newwz,” which had first weekend collections of ₹64.99 Cr, significantly higher than “Bad Newz.”

“Bad Newz” is currently dominating the box office, facing little competition. Akshay Kumar’s “Sarfira” has seen fluctuating attendance, while Kamal Haasan’s “Indian 2” has already left theaters after just a week.
