Director SS Rajamouli made a significant announcement on the 10th anniversary of the film that transformed Indian cinema. The filmmaker revealed during this milestone celebration that the Baahubali films featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia will be presented in theaters as one film titled Baahubali: The Epic.
It appears that a decade following the debut of Baahubali, Rajamouli has chosen to revise his film and unveil a new version. He shared this announcement along with a poster featuring Prabhas and the release date on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Baahubali…The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025.”

Baahubali: The Epic is set to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Fans expressed their excitement upon hearing the announcement, with comments such as, “Baahubali elevated the standards for TFI and Indian cinema alike. Celebrating ten remarkable years of the masterpiece from #SSRajamouli,” and “Super Excited for the trimmed version.” The selected release date also coincides with Prabhas’s birthday week, further heightening fan enthusiasm.
Baahubali: The Epic will merge Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), narrating the tale of a man who uncovers the truth about his heritage and claims his rightful position on the throne. Considering that Rajamouli was instrumental in popularizing sequels, pan-India films, and substantial budgets in Telugu cinema, it remains to be seen whether other filmmakers will emulate his approach by announcing combined films.
