R Madhavan ‘s New Biopic on G.D. Naidu Takes Shape
Actor R Madhavan has officially unveiled the first look of his next film a biopic on the renowned Indian scientist G.D. Naidu. The film, titled G.D.N., is directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and is produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films. Madhavan took to social media to share the first poster, writing, “Need all your blessings and good wishes ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏.”
The Story Behind G.D. Naidu’s Biopic
Often referred to as the “Edison of India”, G.D. Naidu was a pioneer in engineering and innovation. His contributions include advancements in automobile technology, manufacturing, and education. The upcoming film will explore his journey, highlighting his achievements and impact on India’s technological progress.
R Madhavan, who previously portrayed scientist Nambi Narayanan in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, is set to play another real-life figure in G.D.N.. The actor has been known for his commitment to biopics, and this project marks yet another venture into bringing a historical personality to life on screen.
Cast, Crew & Production Details
Alongside the versatile actor R Madhavan, the film features Jayaram, Priyamani, and Yogi Babu in key roles. Music for the film is composed by Govind Vasantha, while Aravind Kamalanathan serves as both cinematographer and creative producer. The movie’s research and development took five years before production officially began in Coimbatore, the birthplace of G.D. Naidu.
While gearing up for G.D.N., Madhavan’s recent film Hisaab Barabar has been trending on OTT platforms. He is also set to appear in Aap Jaisa Koi with Fatima Sana Shaikh and another project titled Test.
With shooting now underway, fans eagerly await how R Madhavan will portray G.D. Naidu in this ambitious film.
