The movie initially titled ‘Pyar To Hota Hai Pyar’ underwent a name change to ‘Zinda Dil’. The grand muhurat of the film, starring Abbas and Ashima Bhalla, marked an auspicious beginning with the initial title. Directed by Mohan Baggad and backed by Monika Padhal, the film features music by Tabun Sutradhar, known for his work in popular movies like Baazigar (1993), Darr (1993) and Raaz (2002).
The film tells the story of Abbas, a fierce navy officer with both soft and rough sides and Ashima Bhalla, the daughter of a wealthy father played by Om Puri. The father disapproves of their relationship. The love story unfolds when the heroine falls into the sea and the navy officer jumps in to save her.

The video includes a tense moment between Om Puri and Abbas, where the father warns the young man. It also captures the muhurat day, featuring the cast and crew coming together to start the film with an intense shot between Abbas and Ashima. Mirza Abbas Ali aka Abbas, has worked in Hindi cinema and predominantly appeared in Tamil and Telugu films, making a significant mark in those industries, as well as in Malayalam and Kannada films. He quit acting in 2015, moved to New Zealand and became a motivational speaker. In 2023, he returned to Chennai, expressing plans to return to cinema, seeking good offers.
Ashima Bhalla has also successfully appeared in various film industries, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, and starred in several television daily soaps.
