The music video features a vibrant pink backdrop and begins with ROSÉ and Bruno side by side, both sporting matching leather jackets. ROSÉ takes the lead as the vocalist in the song while Bruno showcases his drumming skills in the background. The two eventually join forces for a lively duet segment. “APT.”—which is probably an abbreviation for “apartment”—is an upbeat and catchy track that perfectly pairs with its fun and quirky music video.
Breaking the news to fans, the duo shared the cover art on Instagram, simply captioning it as “💗 APT. ⚡︎ OCT 18 💗,” confirming that the collaboration would debut just one day after the announcement. The chic artwork features a black-and-white photo of Bruno behind a drum set, with ROSÉ posing in her leather jacket.
In a statement to Stereogum, ROSÉ revealed that the song is inspired by her favorite Korean drinking game, Apartment. “It’s actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It’s so simple, puts a smile on your face, and breaks the ice at any party,” she explained. This release serves as the first glimpse of ROSÉ’s upcoming album titled *Rosie*, which she describes as her “most personal and candid release to date.”
