The documentary titled ‘Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli’ delves into the life of a man from the Telugu region who elevated his industry to a universal level. His masterpiece, the ‘Baahubali’ series, left the global audience stunned with its larger-than-life narrative, unlike anything in mythological or Indian history. Following this success, his 2022 film ‘RRR’ earned an Oscar for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’.
SS Rajamouli, affectionately known as Jakkanna, has made immense contributions to cinema that inspires all. The documentary highlights his remarkable film presentations and the passion behind his work. The trailer, unveiled by Netflix, features testimonials from several prominent figures. Jr NTR remarks, “He’s born to tell stories that haven’t been told.” Prabhas shares his excitement, stating, “I’ve never met someone like that. He is a mad person, that’s all.” The director’s wife adds, “They used to call him Pani Rakshasudu, meaning ‘demon of work.’”
James Cameron praises him, saying, “He certainly has the respect to be able to do anything and work with anybody.” Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar describes him as “absolutely in the bracket of legends and greats already.”
The trailer also showcases SS Rajamouli performing dangerous bike stunts, horse riding, and fighting sequences himself which showcases his dedication to deliver perfect masterpieces. Jr NTR humorously notes that it’s best to deliver what Rajamouli wants and leave, as arguing with him is pointless. SSR believes in telling incredible narratives and his only ‘slavery’ being to his stories!

Vijayendra Prasad, who wasn’t mentioned in the trailer, a real mastermind and creator behind his larger-than-life movies, having penned stories for many of his iconic films.
