In 2022, Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth ended their marriage and subsequently filed for divorce. While the couple has not disclosed the reasons behind their separation, singer Suchithra made a startling claim alleging infidelity within their relationship.
According to her, Dhanush and Aishwarya were involved with other individuals during their marriage and would go on dates while still together. Suchithra, who has had strained relations with Dhanush for some time, also criticized Aishwaryaa’s parenting skills while acknowledging Dhanush’s fulfillment of his fatherly responsibilities.
During an interview with the YouTube channel Kumudam, Suchithra broached the topic of Dhanush and Aishwaryaa’s marriage amidst discussions of various scandals. She said, “Aishwaryaa is accusing Dhanush of cheating on her but that is what she has also done throughout the marriage. That is double standards, no? Aishwaryaa has cheated on Dhanush, Dhanush has cheated on Aishwaryaa. They’ve been a couple who have been systematically cheating on each other.”
When questioned by the host about the basis for her allegation, Suchithra responded, “They have had small flings. They have sat at the bar and had drinks with the person they are dating.” When the host countered that going on dates is not uncommon, Suchithra retorted, “When you’re married, would you still go on dates?”
Talking about Dhanush and Aishwarya’s sons she added, “I hope the children stay with their grandfather (Rajinikanth)”.
For the unversed, Dhanush and Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya were once a renowned couple in the South industry. The two got married in 2004 and had two sons, Yatra and Linga. However, in 2022 the two decided to part ways after almost 18 years of their marriage.
