For the past few months, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage has remained under public attention, with reports of a rift, a divorce case and several statements making headlines. Now, another social media claim has added to the speculation that the couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram. But is that really the case?
Have Govinda And Sunita Unfollowed Each Other?
Reports recently claimed that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja had removed each other from their Instagram following lists. The development quickly sparked fresh questions about their relationship, especially coming days after Sunita reportedly withdrew her divorce petition.
However, a check of their Instagram accounts reportedly shows that Govinda and Sunita still follow each other. There is, therefore, no clear confirmation that the couple has unfollowed one another. While social media activity can change at any time, the current information does not establish that they have taken such a step.
Divorce Case And Ongoing Speculation
Sunita had reportedly filed for divorce in December 2024 under the Hindu Marriage Act with allegations including adultery, cruelty and desertion. Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha later confirmed that Sunita had withdrawn the case.
However, the withdrawal did not put an end to speculation surrounding their marriage. Sunita has continued making public remarks about Govinda and his equation with his Roopa co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Her comments, alongwith Govinda and Komal being spotted together, have kept the subject in the spotlight.
There were also reports that Sunita claimed Govinda was considering another marriage, though these claims have not been independently established.
Govinda Takes Legal Route
Amid the continuing reports, Govinda has reportedly issued a legal notice against the circulation of false, defamatory and unverified claims concerning him and his family. The notice also reportedly warns against misuse of his identity and the circulation of manipulated or AI-generated content.
For now, neither Govinda nor Sunita has publicly confirmed a separation. And despite the latest Instagram rumour, their reported following status suggests that the unfollow claim may simply be another unverified development in an already closely watched family matter.
