BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has spoken about the tense atmosphere inside Parliament during the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) “Chalo Sansad” protest which held over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak issue. According to Kangana, all Members of Parliament were inside the Parliament building while the protest was taking place outside, and many feared that the situation could turn dangerous.
Speaking to the media, Kangana praised the Delhi Police for handling the situation and ensuring the safety of everyone present inside the Parliament complex.
“We Were All Scared,” Says Kangana Over CJP Protest
Sharing her experience, Kangana said, “All parliamentarians were inside the Parliament. We all were scared, thinking that the mob might attack us. I appreciate Delhi Police for playing the role of a shield, not letting people get harmed.”
She added that the security personnel stood between the protesters and Parliament, preventing the situation from getting worse.
Earlier, Kangana had also criticised those trying to pressure the government through protests. She said, “It is the right of the government chosen by the people to decide how to run the government. If you feel so strongly, you should stand for election yourself.”
She further stated, “You cannot arm-twist the government into deciding who to sack and who to keep. This arm-twisting is not good.”
What Happened During The Protest?
The CJP organised the “Chalo Sansad” march demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET-UG examination irregularities. As thousands gathered near Parliament, Delhi Police stopped protesters from marching further.
According to Delhi Police, 118 police personnel and around 60 protesters were injured during the clashes. Following the incident, Union Minister JP Nadda visited the injured protesters admitted to hospitals in Delhi.
Kangana Ranaut’s remarks have once again brought attention to the events that unfolded during the protest near Parliament. While investigations and political debates continue over the issue, her comments highlighted the concern among MPs and praised the role played by Delhi Police in managing the situation.
