Mukul Dev has passed away: The actor Mukul Dev, aged 54, died on May 23. He was recognized for his contributions to Hindi and Punjabi films as well as television shows, and had been unwell for a period of time. Reports indicated that he was in the Intensive Care Unit. Actor Deepshikha Nagpal confirmed the news to SCREEN, stating, “I maintained contact with him. We were members of the same group, and whenever he visited Mumbai, we would meet. He even attended my song launch. I am still in disbelief. He primarily worked in Punjabi films and, to my knowledge, resided there with his mother and daughter. We had a group where we communicated frequently. Life is truly unpredictable. I woke up to this news and remain in shock. He was only 54. Such a remarkable individual. I still find it hard to accept. Krushna, Rajniesh, and I collaborated on a film with him, and we had a wonderful time. It is just so tragic.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee also conveyed a touching message on social media. He expressed, “It is difficult to articulate the emotions I am experiencing. Mukul was like a brother to me, an artist whose kindness and enthusiasm were unparalleled. He left us far too early, far too young. I am praying for strength and healing for his family and all those mourning this loss. I miss you, my dear… until we reunite, Om Shanti.
Actor Vindu Dara Singh communicated the news to India Today and extended his sympathies. He stated, “Following the death of his parents, Mukul became reclusive. He rarely left his home or interacted with anyone. His health declined in the past few days, and he was hospitalized. My heartfelt condolences go out to his brother and to everyone who knew and cherished him. He was an extraordinary individual, and we will all feel his absence deeply.”
Mukul’s final rites are scheduled to take place today at 5 PM in Delhi.
