Currently, Paresh Rawal has announced his departure from Hera Pheri 3, and there are no signs suggesting his return to the project. This exit has sparked worries regarding the future of his cherished character, Baburao Ganapatrao Apte (Babu Bhaiya), within the franchise.

At this moment, there is no official announcement concerning who will take over Rawal’s iconic role, Baburao Ganapatrao Apte (Babu Bhaiya), in Hera Pheri 3. Although there has been speculation about actors such as Pankaj Tripathi potentially assuming the role, Tripathi has humbly addressed these rumors by stating, “I’m nothing,” and has not verified any participation in the film.
On May 18, Paresh Rawal formally declared his exit from the film through a post on X. He emphasized that his departure was not connected to any “creative issues.”

The actor responded to the rumors regarding his exit from the eagerly awaited comedy sequel, which implied that he departed because of creative disagreements with the director, Priyadarshan. Rawal promptly clarified the situation and refuted these claims. He tweeted, “I would like to officially state that my choice to withdraw from Hera Pheri 3 was not a result of creative differences. I emphasize that there are no creative conflicts with the filmmaker. I have great admiration, respect, and trust in Mr. Priyadarshan, the film director.”
Following Rawal’s sudden departure from the filming of “Hera Pheri 3,” Akshay Kumar’s production firm, Cape of Good Films, initiated legal action requesting Rs 25 crore in compensation. After the lawsuit was lodged, Paresh Rawal stated in an interview that he had notified Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Priyadarshan regarding his choice to exit. Nevertheless, in individual interviews, both Suniel Shetty and Priyadarshan asserted that they were not informed of Rawal’s exit.
Enthusiasts of the franchise are keenly anticipating news regarding the casting and plot of Hera Pheri 3. The film is projected to be released prior to the upcoming monsoon, with Paresh Rawal suggesting a potential release in May or June 2026.
