Many fans know Vinay Anand and love him today for his multiple Bhojpuri film roles but very few know that he started his career in Bollywood who made his debut in the 1999 film Lo Main Aagaya when he was just 19 years old. While his performance was appreciated, the film performed averagely at the box office due to releasing around Ramzan festive, as believed by Anand.

During a throwback interview with Lehren Podcast, Vinay Anand recalled his early career days. He shared that his interest in acting had began in childhood itself and he asked for guidance from his uncle Govinda, who was already a Bollywood superstar. Following his advice, he trained under renowned acting coach Roshan Taneja and learned dance from the legendary Saroj Khan. This prepared him for his grand debut in Lo Main Aagaya.

Looking back, Vinay Anand felt he had started his acting career too early. He admitted, “Maine socha ki ek taraf se maine galat kiya, because I was very immature. Kyuki 18-19 saal ki umar mein koi hero thodi banta hai? Ah, heroine banti hai 16-17 saal mein heroine aa jati hai toh main heroine ke tarah hero aagaya. That is bad I felt.” He further mentioned that the right age for a hero should be around 24 to 30 years.
