Veteran actor Ranjeet Bedi known for his iconic villainous roles and outspoken nature, has always been candid about his both professional and personal life. Over the years, several rumours have surfaced about his alleged relationships with various women and one of them which had caught attention was with actress Babita Shivdasani Kapoor, who was reportedly with Ranjeet after her separation from Randhir Kapoor. While neither of them ever confirmed these speculations, Ranjeet has now finally broken his silence on the matter.
Ranjeet Opens Up On His Bond With Babita
In a recent interview with Vickey Lalwani, Ranjeet was asked about a rumour circulating on the internet that a famous heroine from the industry had loved him deeply. Before the host could finish, Ranjeet interrupted with his characteristic humour saying, “Anybody can love me yaar.”
When the interviewer directly mentioned Babita’s name, Ranjeet did not confirm or deny the alleged affair. Instead, he spoke about their friendship. He said, “We were very good friends, everyday Dabbo, Chintu (Randhir & Rishi Kapoor) yeh vo, humlog milte rehte the (Randhir, Rishi, and others would meet frequently).” However, he also made it clear that it was not something to discuss now adding, “Par abhi vo baat karne ka matlab nahi haina kuch (But now, what’s the point of talking about it?).”
Dismissing any controversial angle, he clarified, “It was not that there was any dirty relationship and all that. There was good relation, log kuch bhi kahaniyan bana le! (There was a good bond, but people create stories!).”

Is He Still In Touch With Randhir Kapoor?
When asked whether he is still in touch with Randhir Kapoor, Ranjeet replied, “Not these days but when Chintu was alive and Shammi ji was alive, tabhi baat-cheet hoti thi vo gharpe bhi aate the (Not these days, but when Rishi and Shammi Kapoor were alive, we used to talk, and they would visit my home too).”
Babita Kapoor, who married Randhir Kapoor in 1971 but later separated from him in 1988, though they officially never filed for divorce also often failed in reconciliation. Around that time, rumours about her alleged involvement with Ranjeet after separation from Randhir began to surface. However, neither of them ever confirmed or spoke about it until now.
