Former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev and actress Sarika’s rumoured relationship has been a topic of discussion for years. While neither of them ever publicly acknowledge their relationship, actor Ranjeet recently made an interesting revelation. Kapil Dev has been happily married to Romi Bhatia since the 1980s but now the legendary actor Ranjeet who shared a strong bond with him, spoke about his past involvement with Sarika.

In a recent interview on the Vickey Lalwani Show, Ranjeet was asked about his friendship with Kapil Dev. He revealed that their bond started when Kapil was dating Sarika. He said, “I met him when he was playing in Bangalore and he was then involved with Sarika also.”
Recalling their first meeting, Ranjeet shared, “Toh vo bada udhaas aur jaise aashiq log hote hai, ‘bhai chodna yar filmi actor hai tu kya yeh sabke chakkar mein pada hua hai’“. Their friendship developed from that point. Further explaining their camaraderie, he said, “Then he came out as a good friend of a friend of mine, jo uske shaadi mein bhi tha toh milte the fir uske saath mere ghar bhi aana shuru kiya and we used to play badminton or party here.”
Kapil Dev and Sarika’s relationship ended when Kapil decided to reconcile with Romi Bhatia. Reports suggest that his relationship with Sarika was a rebound and once Romi returned to his life, he chose to be with her. Today, Kapil and Romi share a daughter Amiya Dev.
