Content creator and social media influencer Kusha Kapila has been in the headlines for several days after announcing her divorce from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia. After the announcement on social media, there were a variety of responses; some of them were problematic, others were mostly misogynistic. Many of them blamed Kusha Kapila, whose popularity has increased in the last few years, for cheating in a relationship based on rumors. A day after the announcement, Ahluwalia defended Kapila after she was severely criticized on social media. Meanwhile, Kushs reunites with her ex-husband because he underwent surgery.
Zorawar took to his Instagram stories and shared a picture of himself from the hospital room on July 21, 2023, and revealed that he underwent surgery. In another story, he shared a picture of his ex-wife, Kusha Kapila, and thanked her for helping him as she came all the way to Delhi so that he could undergo surgery for haemorrhoids. He wrote, “Couldn’t have done this without her. She was here in a heartbeat to get me through this surgery. For all those asking it was a case of Haemorrhoids (stage 4). I’m better now, resting it out.”
As soon as he shared the posts, it was taken to Reddit, where netizens commented on Kusha for being such a support to her ex in his bad times. While some are praising it, others say that it is a good strategy to clean up the image.
