Veteran actress Zeenat Aman known for her bold choices in Indian cinema recently opened up about a film she regrets doing in her electrifying career. As she gears up for her much-anticipated comeback with Netflix’s ‘The Royals’ Zeenat Aman took part in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit. During the session, she answered many fan questions including one about a movie she wished she hadn’t done.
Zeenat Aman Regrets Doing ‘Jaanwar’
While her exceptional filmography which includes hits like Ajnabee, Dharam Veer, Qurbani, and Dostana to name a few, a fan asked, “Is there a movie/role that you regret doing in the past?” Zeenat Aman put her response straight response by saying, “In all honesty, I regret doing Jaanwar.”
She further explained why she felt that way: “It took eight years to make, and by the end of it, we were just exhausted! It was absolutely tedious to shoot in bits and bobs over so many years.”

Jaanwar (1982), directed by S. Ali Raza, was a fantasy drama starring Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman. The story revolved around a mythical kingdom and followed the journey of two separated individuals – Raju, who grows up in a village near a forest and Rajkumari, abandoned in the jungle as a newborn and raised by animals.
The film carried a strong message about animal protection and despite taking years to complete, Jaanwar was a commercial success, grossing ₹3 crore at the box office.
