Zarine Katrak wife of veteran actor and filmmaker Sanjay Khan, passed away at the age of 81 in Mumbai after battling age-related ailments. The actress, interior designer and author of cookbooks, breathed her last at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. Zarine is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and their children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed Khan.
Zarine and Sanjay’s love story began unexpectedly at a bus stop, who got married in the year 1966, becoming one of Bollywood’s most charming couples. While Sanjay Khan built a prolific career in cinema, Zarine left the industry and focused on looking after her family and home.
And before becoming a part of one of Bollywood’s most prominent families, Zarine made her mark as a model and actress in the 1960s who was known for her elegance and calm demeanor, she appeared in films like Tere Ghar Ke Saamne (1963) alongside Dev Anand, Ek Phool Do Mali (1969) and more. Though she stepped away from acting she continued to be admired for her vision through her creative space as an interior designer.
