Sonakshi Sinha, known for her bold and confident personality recently revealed that she was the first to confess her love to Zaheer Iqbal. In a conversation with Hauterrfly, she shared how their relationship started and how Zaheer initially reacted to her unexpected confession. During the interview, Sonakshi was asked if she was the type to make the first move in a relationship. Without hesitation, she responded, “In fact, I was the first one to confess my love to Zaheer.” She went on to explain that she wasn’t looking for love when she met Zaheer, but something clicked between them. However, Zaheer Iqbal didn’t take Sonakshi Sinha seriously at first. He thought she was joking or just being playful. Sonakshi recalled his reaction, saying, “He thought I was completely bonkers. ‘Yaar, yeh ladki pagal ho gayi hai.’ He even told his best friend, ‘I think she’s very love-deprived. She loves me.’” But eventually, he realized she was serious and their relationship eventually blossomed into marriage.
She Proposed Marriage Within a Month
Sonakshi also revealed another surprising detail – just a month after confessing her love, she proposed marriage to Zaheer. Fast forward seven years, the couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony on June 23, 2024 in Mumbai surrounded by close friends and family.
Speaking about what drew her to him, Sonakshi shared that Zaheer has qualities that made her fall in love. She described him as a caring, generous person with a great sense of humour. According to her, he always knows how to make her laugh and keep her happy.
