Ahead of the much-awaited release of Baby John, Varun Dhawan visited the iconic Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh to seek blessings Lord Shiva. Accompanied by producer Atlee, his wife Priya and co-star Keerthy Suresh, Varun Dhawan performed aarti at the temple, immersing himself in prayers ahead of the film’s release.
Varun was seen dressed in a traditional dhoti, shared glimpses of the spiritual visit on Instagram, captioning the photos, “Feeling blessed 🙏 Jai Mahakal 🔱.” The images captured him performing aarti with complete devotion and fans couldn’t help but admire his rare appearance in the traditional attire. A video of the moment which is now going viral on the internet shared by ANI, showed the group participating in the aarti chantings, deeply engaged in the rituals.

Speaking to the media after the visit Varun Dhawan said, “It was a very good feeling offering prayers here at the temple. God is bigger than the film. I just prayed that people go and watch the movie.”

The film, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Theri, which originally starred Thalapathy Vijay. Varun plays the titular role, while the cast includes Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and a special appearance by Salman Khan. With its Christmas release set for December 25, 2024, Baby John is expected to bring an action-packed finale to the year.
