Bollywood film Tirchhi Topiwale (1998) may not have been a blockbuster but it remains notable for its rare casting. The film brought together Inder Kumar and Chunky Panday alongside Monica Bedi and Rituparna Sengupta in a musical comedy-drama directed by Nadeem Khan. The story revolves around two businessmen who plan to marry off their children, unaware that their kids are already in love with others.
The newly released on-location footage shared by Lehren Retro, captures some never-seen-before moments from the sets offering a fresh glimpse into its making. Fans get to see Inder Kumar and Chunky Panday rehearsing their scenes, while the producers, directors and crew discuss shots in a collaborative setting. The video highlights how filmmaking in the late ’90s had a unique sense of teamwork, something that isn’t as commonly observed today.

In an old interview included in the video, Inder Kumar shared his appreciation for producer Babu Latiwala and expressed his gratitude for working alongside legends like Anupam Kher and Kader Khan. Tirchhi Topiwale took inspiration for its title from the hit song in Tridev (1989). Produced by Babu Latiwala, the film also featured a strong supporting cast including Reema Lagoo, Satish Shah, Alok Nath, Himani Shivpuri, and Johnny Lever.
