Anand L Rai, known for his epic feel-good narratives, directed the heartfelt love story ‘Raanjhanaa’ in 2013, a film that still rules the hearts of people for its unforgettable storyline, heart-touching music, and stellar performances by the lead actors. Reflecting this success, the filmmaker announced its sequel, with the new title to ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, which was revealed last year in June 2023. He has brought back the same actor who surprised audiences with his performance in the original, South superstar Dhanush.
Currently, reports are circulating that ‘Animal’ movie star Tripti Dimri has been cast in this epic romance tale, replacing Sonam Kapoor. Tripti has recently created a buzz on the internet for her upcoming film ‘Bad Newz’, where her sizzling chemistry with Vicky Kaushal is talk of the town.
‘Tere Ishk Mein’ will present a multifaceted narrative filled with romance and diverse sentiments, guaranteed to evoke strong emotions in the audience through its overwhelming moments. The film delves into themes of love and anger, with Tripti Dimri’s role being described as emotionally demanding as she stars opposite the intense, Dhanush.
Regarding the shoot, Anand L Rai plans to commence filming ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ in October 2024, around the state of Uttar Pradesh, particularly in the beautiful city of Varanasi. This director-actor combo has always created magic onscreen, from ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013) to ‘Atrangi Re’ (2021), and now with ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, leaving fans anticipated for what’s treasured in for them.
