The story of the Telugu film, Tiger Nageshwar Rao is said to be based on real-life incidents of the 1970s. The film is set against the backdrop of 1970s and features a town named Stuartpuram in Andhra Pradesh which was once under the clutches of a notorious thief named, Tiger Nageswara Rao.
