Tamannaah Bhatia Has Recently Done a Photoshoot With a Janmashtami Theme

Tamannaah Bhatia has recently participated in a photoshoot with a Janmashtami theme for a brand, where she embodies the character of Radha and experiences Krishna's love.

Tamannaah Bhatia recently participated in a Janmashtami-themed photoshoot, embodying the colors of Krishna’s love. The actress was featured in a new campaign for the clothing brand Torani, titled ‘Leela: The Divine Illusion of Love’, celebrating Janmashtami. She donned the role of Radha in the stunning photos, showcasing traditional outfits from the brand’s latest collection.

Tamannaah Bhatia is featured in a Torani photoshoot, depicting different stages of love for Lord Krishna. In the latest photos, she embodies the theme of ‘Deewanagi’ or love’s madness, as part of the Janmashtami campaign. The caption describes the dreamy images, stating, “Her reflection, shadow, and even her name are all Krishna. She sees her arms as blue, and Radha is described as the light to Krishna’s moon.”

For the campaign, Tamannaah Bhatia was dressed in an orange and red embroidered lehenga choli set by Torani. The photoshoot outfit included a blouse with a deep V neckline, intricate zardosi embroidery, scalloped borders, sequin embellishments, half-length sleeves, and a slit on the front and sides. The A-line ghera lehenga is a stunning bright red shade with scalloped borders and intricate gold embroidery on the hem. A gorgeous orange organza dupatta adorns the head with shimmering gold cluster diamantes and zardosi embroidered borders.

Torani used a blue shade to paint Tamannaah’s body, symbolizing Radha’s complete immersion in Kanha’s love. For the jewelry, they opted for gold and emerald polki pieces, such as a choker necklace, jhumkis, kadhas, and a mang tika. The hair was styled in a bun, embellished with a gajra, along with darkened eyebrows, kohl-lined eyes, a red bindi, pink lip color, and mascara-enhanced lashes to complete the makeup look.

What was the reason behind the brand’s selection of Tamannaah Bhatia for the role of Radha? Karan Torani mentioned in a video that he sought an actress who could convey the emotions and experiences Radha goes through during different stages of love. He stated, “Right after the initial phone conversation, Tamannaah expressed, ‘I give myself up to you.’ To me, this was the most crucial aspect in casting her as Radha with confidence; I needed someone who believed that I would do justice to this story and to the character.”

Today, on August 26th, people all over India are celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, known as Krishna Janmashtami.
