Cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have long been in the news for their pregnancy. On Tuesday, the couple finally announced the birth of their second child, a baby “boy”. The couple welcomed their “bundle of joy” on 15th February. Taking to their Instagram accounts the duo shared a long note as they revealed the name of their son.
The note read, “With abundant happiness and hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world. We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time. We request you to kindly respect our privacy. Love and gratitude, Virat and Anushka.”
Reacting to their announcement many fans and celebs congratulated the couple. Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Lisa Haydon, Masaba Gupta, and other celebs congratulated the duo.
Virat-Anushka Kept Their Second Pregnancy “Private”
It’s worth mentioning that, unlike their first pregnancy, the couple kept things private this time around. When they were expecting Vamika, Anushka and Virat made a public announcement, and the actor even shared pictures displaying her baby bump. However, during her second pregnancy, Anushka chose not to make any announcements or share posts on social media. Additionally, she made fewer public appearances.
Virat-Anushka Welcomed Their Second Child In London?
Additionally, there are reports suggesting that the actor from “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” might have given birth to her second child in London rather than in India. Anushka’s social media post has brought joy not only to their fans but also provided explanations for Kohli’s absence from the Test series.
Virat-Anushka’s Marriage
Anushka Sharma got married to Virat Kohli in December 2017. Following the release of her movie Zero in 2018, she took a break from acting. Their daughter, Vamika, was born in January 2021. Since then, Anushka hasn’t appeared in any films. However, she’s set to return with the sports drama Chakda Xpress. Although filming is complete, the release date for the movie is currently unknown.
