Covid-19: Govt allows local shops to reopen; check out what opens, what remains closed

In its order allowing opening of shops, the government said that in rural areas, all shops, except those in shopping malls are allowed to open. Meanwhile, in urban areas, all standalone shops, neighbourhood shops and shops in residential complexes are allowed to open. Shops in markets/market complexes and shopping malls are not allowed to open in urban areas.

The Supreme Court has directed the government to make coronavirus testing free of cost in both government and private laboratories. It added that tests relating to coronavirus must be carried out in NABL-accredited labs or any agencies approved by WHO or ICMR.
