Fans were worried earlier this week when they heard that Tamil superstar Rajinikanth was in the hospital in Chennai. But there’s good news! On October 3, 2024, around 11 a.m., Rajinikanth was discharged from Apollo Hospitals after treatment for a health issue.
The actor was admitted on September 30 after experiencing severe stomach pain. Doctors found swelling in his aorta, which is the main blood vessel that carries blood from the heart. Fortunately, the hospital said that Rajinikanth had a successful non-surgical procedure. The doctors used a special method called transcatheter to place a stent in the aorta to seal off the swollen area. This procedure was led by Dr. Sai Satish, a senior interventional cardiologist, and went very well. Rajinikanth’s condition is now stable.
According to the medical bulletin released by the hospital, a stent was placed in the aorta using the transcatheter method, stating, “Our superstar’s heart is as strong as his spirit! Rajinikanth is recovering well after a heart procedure and will be home soon!”
Fans can now relax, as the actor’s recovery is going well. His doctors have told him to rest for a couple of weeks. Once he gets the go-ahead, superstar Rajinikanth will start working again on his film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
On the work side, Rajinikanth’s next movie, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is set to hit theatres on October 10. Fans are excited to see this film, which also stars big names like Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil.
In the midst of this, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Rajinikanth’s wife, Latha, to ask about the actor’s health and wished him a quick recovery.
