However, Priyanka Chopra still holds that position with 91.8 million followers, while Shraddha Kapoor stands close behind with 91.4 million. This fan-driven claim has sparked discussions on Reddit, with users urging fans to calm down and check the facts.
The excitement surrounding ‘Stree 2’ has undoubtedly boosted Shraddha’s popularity, but some fans have declared her as the second most followed Indian on Instagram, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has 91.3 million followers. While Shraddha Kapoor surpasses Modi on Instagram, however, Narendra Modi remains the most-followed world leader on Twitter with over 101.2 million followers. The current top three most followed Indians on Instagram are cricketer Virat Kohli with over 271 million followers, Priyanka Chopra with 91.8 million and Shraddha Kapoor with 91.4 million.

Her fans needs to calm down on X they already declared her most followed and calling Virat britishers.” Another user pointed out, “No she’s not. Priyanka is still higher in second and Anushka’s husband is first.” Another comment noted that “Priyanka is still more followed than her but Shraddha will replace her in 4 days because she’s gaining 100k followers every day.”
