Asim Riaz’s unexpected departure from Khatron Ke Khiladi has grabbed headlines after a fiery clash with host Rohit Shetty. Following a task loss, Asim insulted fellow contestants Abhishek Kumar and Shalin Bhanot as ‘losers,’ prompting Rohit Shetty to expel him from the show for his ‘bad behaviour.’
Actor Shilpa Shinde, who also competed on the show and is recovering from minor surgery, was the sole supporter of Asim Riaz, a former Bigg Boss contestant. However, she didn’t offer unconditional support; various videos from the show reveal Shilpa advising Asim to stay quiet during his argument with Rohit Shetty.
In a recent interview with Times Now, the Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai actress acknowledged that Asim Riaz’s behavior was out of line but also criticized other contestants for provoking and bullying him, which she believes led to his extreme reaction.
Shilpa said, ““Kuch bhi nahin hua tha. Aap ke sar paani chala jata hai. Down-to-earth hona chahiya. Ek banda ek taraf aur baki ek jhoondh hai, usko bhadkaya gaya as they knew his nature. Sablog success handle nahin kar pate. Sab log galat the, sab log sahi the. Maine use baar baar bola ki woh chup rahe, bahas na kare” (Nothing really happened. It gets to your head. One should be down-to-earth. When one person is alone and the rest are against him, he gets provoked because they know his nature. Not everyone can handle success. Everyone was wrong and everyone was right. I repeatedly told him to stay quiet and avoid arguing.)
During the show, Asim’s comment about buying a car every three months annoyed Rohit Shetty. Shilpa, who believes the label of “aggressive” applied to Asim by other contestants is unjust, emphasized that Asim should not have approached Khatron Ke Khiladi with the same mindset as he did on Bigg Boss.
