The gritty first look and teaser of Ranveer Singh’s anticipated film Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri fame, are already generating excitement. And well-known figure among South cinema enthusiasts, Sara Arjun is making a notable shift in Dhurandhar, reportedly portraying a crucial role alongside Ranveer. The film is anticipated to be a major cinematic highlight in 2025, and for 20-year-old Sara, it represents her debut in a mature leading role within a Bollywood blockbuster.

Sara Arjun was born on June 18, 2005, in Mumbai. She is the 20-year-old daughter of actor Raj Arjun and dance instructor Sanya Arjun. Her journey in acting began at a remarkably young age—around 18 months—when she featured in television commercials; by the time she was five, she had appeared in more than 100 advertisements. At the age of six, she gained significant recognition for her role in Deiva Thirumagal (2011), where she played Vikram’s daughter, receiving both praise and awards for her performance.

She continued to showcase her versatility as a child actor across Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam films, with notable credits including Saivam, Ek Thi Daayan, Jazbaa, Saand Ki Aankh, and Ajeeb Daastaans. In Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I & II, she portrayed the younger version of Aishwarya, Nandini, originally played by Aishwarya Rai. Sara Arjun is poised to make her adult Bollywood debut alongside Ranveer Singh in Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller, Dhurandhar, which is set to be released on December 5, 2025. The teaser was unveiled on Ranveer’s 40th birthday, July 6, showcasing Sara in various scenes, including dancing in a club, riding pillion, and sharing the screen with Ranveer. This casting choice has generated both interest and controversy, particularly due to the nearly 20-year age difference.

In addition to her role in Dhurandhar, Sara is reportedly undergoing training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, hip-hop, gymnastics, and boxing, indicating her preparation for an action-heroine character. Besides Dhurandhar, she is also associated with projects such as the Tamil crime drama, Quotation Gang, and is potentially linked to another Hindi film alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
