Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are said to be participating in an upcoming Hollywood thriller, signifying their foray into an international production. The pair has traveled to Saudi Arabia to film their cameo appearances, with production currently taking place at the recently inaugurated AlUla Studios. Filming is anticipated to proceed until February 19.
A report from Mid-Day indicates that Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt will play significant roles in pivotal scenes of the American thriller. Although specific details about the film are not available due to stringent non-disclosure agreements, sources have indicated that it is being tailored for an international audience. A source informed the publication, “Salman and Sanjay are well-known figures, particularly in the Middle East. Their scenes have been meticulously designed to create a lasting impression.”
AlUla Studios has established itself as a premier location for international film productions. Notable Hollywood projects, such as Kandahar (2023), featuring Gerard Butler, have already utilized this site. The ongoing thriller is expected to showcase the region’s stunning cinematic vistas. Reports indicate that Salman Khan’s team arrived in Riyadh on Sunday morning to commence a three-day filming schedule.
Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have a history of successful collaborations in Bollywood, having worked together on films such as Saajan (1991), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), and Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002). Their dynamic on-screen partnership has consistently attracted audiences. Last year, they reunited for Old Money, a track by Indo-Canadian rapper Dhillon, which fused Bollywood nostalgia with modern Punjabi music.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is set to appear in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film features Rashmika Mandanna too. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt has an extensive slate ahead, including Housefull 5, Baaghi 4, and the sequel to Son of Sardaar.
