SHOCKING! Salaar Will Not Release In PVR, INOX & Miraj Cinemas In South

Prashanth Neel’s much-anticipated film, Salaar will soon hit the screens on 22 December. While just a day ahead of its release it was recently revealed that the film “won’t” be screened on INOX PVR and Miraj cinemas in the South. And the big blow to films related to Rajkumar Hirani’s film, Dunki.

Reportedly the makers of Salaar have alleged that the national screens have been favoring Shah Rukh Khan’s film, ‘Dunki’. As per PTI, Hombale Films spokesperson revealed that the national screens PVR INOX, and Miraj Cinemas had initially promised that both Dunki and Salaar would get equal shows in theatres.

However, the promise wasn’t fulfilled, and they failed to keep their word as they allotted more screens and shows to Rajkumar Hirani’s film, Dunki. As quoted by PTI, the spokesperson said, “Because of unfair showcasing to ‘Salaar’, we will not be releasing in PVR INOX, MIRAJ in southern states. We have been discussing it with them for the last two days”.

The spokesperson added, “They have opened all shows/screens for ‘Dunki’ alone which was against what they had agreed. They had agreed that they would give equal showcasing when discussed but now they are not doing so”.

Following the revelation hashtags like #BoycottPVRInox and #BoycottPvrAjayBijli have been trending on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Meanwhile, talking about the advance bookings, Salaar has reportedly grossed a massive 30cr through the advance bookings. According to Sacnilk.com, around 5.6 lakh tickets for 15,014 shows were sold for the opening day of the film.
