Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi who featured in the Tamil film 96, the film went on to become the biggest films of 2018. The romantic drama was loved and appreciated by the audience and critics alike. The film also went on to win a few awards. It was recently announced that 96 will be remade in Telugu and will feature Samantha Akkineni and Sharwanand. The shooting of this film commenced a few months ago, and the makers are reported to release the film on Valentine’s Day 2020.
But there is no official announcement about the same. But Industry tracker Ramesh Bala announced the release date of the film on social media. He tweeted, “#Sharwanand @Samanthaprabhu2’s #96TheMovie Telugu remake will release for #ValentinesDay 2020..” It is also reported that the Telugu version of the film will be filled with emotions. Talking about the same filmmaker Prem Kumar in an interview stated, “It didn’t feel like I was shooting a remake, it felt like I was reliving the film again. Samantha and Sharwanand have breathed new life into the film with their performances.”

Even Samantha Akkineni was recently seen sharing a heartfelt post she announced about the film’s wrap up. She wrote, “And it’s a wrap!!
