Actor Reese Witherspoon has announced that Lexi Minetree will play the young Elle Woods in the upcoming prequel series, ‘Elle’, which is part of the ‘Legally Blonde’ franchise. The series will explore Elle’s high school years before she enrolls at Harvard and is set to premiere on Prime Video.

Reese Witherspoon, who first portrayed Elle Woods in the 2001 film ‘Legally Blonde’ and its 2003 sequel, shared the exciting news on Instagram. In a touching video, she reveals the casting to Lexi Minetree, who is visibly emotional upon hearing the news. Lexi then hugs Reese and expresses her disbelief that the role is now hers.
“We had to make a really hard decision the other day, and we wanted to tell you in person because you’ve just worked really hard.And we just wanted to tell you that you don’t have to audition anymore because you got the part. You’re Elle Woods,” she told Lexi Minetree.
The thought of sharing this moment with her mom brings her even more happiness; she knows how much her family has supported her journey. According to the reports, Reese Witherspoon will be the executive producer of the series via her Hello Sunshine banner, alongside Laura Kittrell, Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky, and Marc Platt.
