Anju Mahendru: Rajesh Khanna was engaged in a prolonged relationship with Anju Mahendru, a television actress. The couple cohabited for several years; however, their relationship came to an unexpected end as Rajesh Khanna’s career began to flourish, leading him to become romantically involved with Dimple Kapadia.

Anju Mahendru has candidly expressed her feelings of heartbreak following their separation, noting that Rajesh Khanna’s abrupt transition towards Dimple significantly altered the dynamics of their relationship.

Dimple Kapadia: In 1973, Rajesh Khanna wed actress Dimple Kapadia, who was merely 16 years old at the time and had yet to make her film debut. Her first film, Bobby (1973), achieved remarkable success, catapulting her to instant fame. Despite the considerable age difference and the controversies that initially surrounded their union, the couple remained married for several years. They had two daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. Twinkle later gained recognition as both an actress and an author, marrying actor Akshay Kumar, while Rinke also pursued an acting career in films during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Although Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia parted ways in the late 1970s, they never finalized their divorce and maintained a friendly relationship throughout their lives.

Following Khanna’s death, Advani initiated legal proceedings against his family, seeking both maintenance and formal acknowledgment of her relationship with the iconic actor.

Throughout the years, various rumors have circulated regarding Rajesh Khanna’s associations with several actresses, such as Shabana Azmi, Moushumi Chatterjee, and Hema Malini. However, many of these claims lack confirmation and are often regarded as speculative in nature.
