This trailer suggests an exhilarating crime thriller experience. The Raid franchise, which chronicles a tax officer’s battle against corruption, is back with a sequel that is both grander and more daring.

Ajay Devgn, who portrays the lead role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, expressed his views on the film industry’s current landscape in the aftermath of the pandemic. “We are still facing challenges with theatrical releases in this post-pandemic period, so we are adjusting accordingly,” Ajay stated. When inquired about the parallels between his character and his personal aspirations, he humorously replied, “I haven’t studied that much. I learned everything from my father and this industry.” Devgn’s depiction of the resolute and composed tax officer in Raid 2 has already generated considerable excitement, and he highlighted the distinct tone of this film compared to his previous roles.
Vaani Kapoor, who is part of the cast in Raid 2, discussed her experience of entering a genre she had not previously explored. “I never had the chance to engage with a genre like this,” Vaani remarked. She also commended Ajay Devgn for his understated intensity and the unique weight he brings to his performances, making them truly memorable.
Director Raj Kumar Gupta articulated his vision for the film, highlighting that Raid 2 explores the complexities of white-collar crime in greater depth. Gupta also disclosed that the narrative for Raid 2 was inspired by genuine encounters with tax officials in Mumbai and Delhi.
