Raayan Box Office Verdict: Dhanush’s Film, “Hit Or Flop”?

RaayanBoxOffice: Directed by Dhanush, the much-anticipated Tamil action-thriller Raayan debuted in theaters on July 26. Featuring Dhanush, S.J. Suryah, and others the film opened up to positive reviews and a shattering box office opening. Now that the film has completed its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

As per Sacnilk, Dhanush starrer Raayan made a double-digit box office opening worth ₹ 13.65 Cr. Keeping steady the film earned another ₹ 13.75 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 15.25 Cr on Sunday. However, the Tamil film witnessed a huge drop on Monday earning only ₹ 5.8 Cr. Despite the fall, the film kept running at a steady pace earning ₹ 4.55 Cr on Tuesday, ₹ 3.85 Cr on Wednesday, and ₹ 3.25 Cr on Thursday. The first-week box office collection of Raayn now stands at a total ₹ 60.10 Cr.

Raayan Hit Or Flop?

With an estimated budget of ₹100 crore, the Dhanush-led Tamil revenge drama, “Raayan,” has already grossed approximately ₹60 crore. Despite this, the film has yet to recoup its production costs. Given its current performance, the likelihood of breaking even at the box office seems slim. Nonetheless, considering its opening and box office run to date, “Raayan” can still be regarded as an average to modest box office success.
