Virat Kohli Birthday: Bangalore Franchise Share Emotional Note To Wish The Skipper

Wishes have been pouring from all across the globe as batting legend Virat Kohli turns 32. To wish Virat Kohli on his birthday, the Indian Premier League (IPL) Bangalore-based franchise shared an emotional note. For the unknown, Virat is the skipper of the Bangalore team and the emotional note is a sincere tribute to him.

Taking to their official social media handles, the Bangalore franchise shared the emotional note to wish Virat Kohli. The note read, “To the man who’s given blood, sweat and tears to the Red and Gold. To our Leader and Legend, Here’s wishing KING KOHLI a very Happy Birthday!!” They accompanied it along with a graphic of the stunning batsman. They also added, “Have a great day, Skip!” 

As a matter of fact, Virat Kohli has been the part of the Bangalore-based franchise ever since the Indian Premier League commenced in 2008. The right-hand batsman is forever grateful to Bangalore and recently expressed his desire to indeed continue to play for them.

Apart from the official handle of the Bangalore team, the official handle of IPL also wished Virat Kohli. They tweeted, “Wishing @imVkohli  – the @RCBTweets skipper and the leading run-getter in the history of IPL – a very happy birthday.”

They shared the tweet alongside a video showcasing one of Virat’s best knocks in the on-going 13th season of the IPL.

Speaking of Virat Kohli’s IPL graph, he has played 191 matches and has scored 5872 runs.

In the on-going IPL 2020, Kohli has contributed 460 runs and also has lead the team in the playoffs. This is for the first time in 2016 that Bangalore has been qualified for the playoffs.

The Bangalore team will lock the horns with Hyderabad in the eliminator on Friday, November, 6.

After IPL 2020 ends, team India will tour Australia in the latter half of November. They will play ODIs, T20Is, Test match. It will also be India’s first day-night Test match away from home.
