This ambitious historical epic is set to be one of India’s most significant productions, serving as a global homage to the warrior king, titled ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.’
In a discussion with the Times of India, Rishab Shetty expressed that it is an ‘honour’ to portray this historical figure, stating that it brings him ‘immense pride’ to depict his story on screen. Rishab further conveyed to the publication that he has always been captivated by Chhatrapati Shivaji’s life and legacy. ” Chhatrapati Shivaji’s life and legacy have always intrigued me, and I feel a profound sense of pride in being linked to such a remarkable historical figure.

The film features music composed by Pritam and lyrics penned by Prasoon Joshi, under the direction of Sandeep Singh. The cinematography will be executed by Ravi Varman, known for his work in Ram Leela and Barfi. The sound and acoustics will be managed by Resul Pookutty, recognized for his contributions to The Goat Life and Slumdog Millionaire.
Additionally, Rishab will portray the character of Hanuman in Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman, a sequel to his successful superhero film HanuMan. Rishab is also directing and starring in the prequel to Kantara, titled Kantara: Chapter 1, which is set to be released later this year.
