The esteemed actor and director Manoj Kumar, who passed away on April 4, was cremated with full state honors on Saturday, April 5, in Mumbai. Family and close friends gathered at his home to offer a heartfelt farewell to the beloved ‘Bharat Kumar’ of Indian film.

The ambulance transporting his remains was decorated with garlands and floral arrangements in the colors of the tricolour, symbolizing the nationalistic essence that characterized much of his work.

His wife, Shashi Goswami, son Kunal Goswami, and other close relatives were present to pay their final respects during the ceremonial state honors. Notable figures such as Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan were also seen at the crematorium in Juhu.

Manoj Kumar passed away in Mumbai during the early hours of Friday, April 4, leaving the nation in mourning. He was 87 years old. He took his last breath at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he had been admitted on February 21 due to declining health.

After a month-long struggle, he succumbed to Friday. Reports indicate that Kumar’s death was caused by a severe heart attack, compounded by recent battles with decompensated liver cirrhosis, which had further deteriorated his health.
