Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s theatrical debut has sweared the audience to never watch their films again. That’s not what we claim. Loveyapa box office collection for the opening day shouts loud of its failure as the romantic-entertainment story failed to impress the audience. Aamir Khan’s son Junaid has disappointed the audience this time,as they have only expected for him to come out bigger and better than what he served the public with his OTT project, ‘Maharaj’. While the film received high-end praises from everyone including the big names, on the other end, his theatrical audienxe has somewhat been looking shockingly disappointed.
According to the industry reporter Sacnilk, the opening day collection was merely 1.25 crores, which is below than the expectations. The film’s first day earnings, despite being a flop seemed very poor. Loveyapa was even supressed by singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya’s movie “Badass Ravikmar”.
The film that caught no logical attention and was purely made out of entertainment purposes, with a blend of action, comedy, sarcastic dialouge delivery and nostalgic music was still liked more by the viewers than the starkid’s movie.
Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor have earlier been seen in their subsequent OTT films ‘Maharaj’ and ‘The Archies’. Both their performances were great in the digitally released films, however, the theatrical release has not come out as a good movie overall.
