Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is one of the much-awaited and highly-anticipated Tamil action thriller films of the year. Featuring Thalapathy Vijay alongside Sanjay Dutt and Trisha Krishnan the film was released in theatres today on 19th October. And after registering one of the biggest openings of the year, the film now witnessed a significant drop at the box office, however, the film still managed to cross the 100cr mark within India.
Leo Box Office Collection Day 2
Lokesh Kanagraj’s directorial “Leo” opened at a total of a massive ₹145 crore with its worldwide collection. As per a Sacnilk report, the film grossed over ₹64 crore in India and approx. ₹65 crore through the international box office. The film also became one of the highest-opening Tamil films beating “2.0” and “Jailer”.
However, on Friday the film witnessed a slight drop at the box office. As per Sacnilk, the film earned a total of approx. 36 Cr on its second day at the box office. The film currently stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 100.80cr. The film is also breaking records at the international box office beating all-time highest-grossers like “Pathaan”, “Jawan” and others.
Leo was released in theatres alongside, the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari and Kannada film Ghost. And even after opening to mixed reactions from viewers and netizens, Leo managed to cross the 100cr mark with only its opening day collections. Vijay Thalapathy starrer Leo is expected to see more growth during the weekend.
