Leo Box Office Collection Day 1: Film Gets A “Massive Opening”

Leo: Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is one of the much-awaited and highly-anticipated Tamil action thriller films of the year. Featuring Thalapathy Vijay alongside Sanjay Dutt and Trisha Krishnan the film was released in theatres today on 19th October. And after its theatrical release, the film has reportedly had one of the biggest openings of the year.

Lokesh Kanagraj’s directorial “Leo” reportedly opened at a total of a massive ₹145 crore with its worldwide collection. As per a Sacnilk report, the film grossed over ₹68 crore in India in all languages. While it earned approx. ₹65 crore through the international box office. The film now stands at a total of around, ₹145 crores. The film has now become one of the highest-opening Tamil films beating “2.0” and “Jailer”.

Leo was released in theatres alongside, the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari and Kannada film Ghost. And even after opening to mixed reactions from viewers and netizens, Leo managed to cross the 100cr mark with only its opening day collections. Vijay Thalapathy starrer Leo is expected to see more growth during the weekend.
