Priyanka Chopra rose to fame after her win as Miss India and Miss World. Post coming out as a suppressed, and bullied child who never got her due respect from the people she was encircled with, Priyanka has now reached a height which people crave to reach at. Recently Priyanka’s mother Dr Madhu Chopra had an exlcusive chat with Lehren Retro. She shared the untold story of Priyanka’s journey from Bareilly to Bollywood, and then the jump to being a global icon. In the journey when she was a contestant of Miss India, Madhu Chopra revealed a thing about this actress that turned out to be of an immense support to Priyanka.
Madhu revealed that during her Miss World contendorship, Priyanka knew nothing. She had never worn stilettos, and had never done makeup before. It was just Lara who brought her with so much confidence. “Priyanka was just a 17 year old kachi bachi, who knew nothing. Lara taught her how to do makeup, how to walk. Lara taught her how to drape, Lara made her the high quality person”, said Madhu Chopra.
Both Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra got their first break with the film ‘Andaaz’. The actresses starred opposite Akshay Kumar. In the interview ahead, Madhu Chopra also reflected on Priyanka Chopra’s film journey and how she changed with time.
