Amid the ongoing protests and marchs for seeking justice for the Kolkata rape victim, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has finally spoke on the matter. After multiple Bollywood celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Vijay Verma and more voiced their opinions on the severity of the issue, the O Antava Mama actress also caught the limelight for the same.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Tuesday attended the launch of the World Pickeball league. The lady was made the owner of the Chennai franchise in the upcoming Pickeball leagues. For Samantha, this game is nothing short of “Love at first sight!”.She spoke about how exciting she finds games usually, and that she is very happy for the launch. Later, addressing the heinous crime of rape and murder of a doctor trainee in Kolkata’s R G Kar Medical College, Samantha said that ‘change is the need of the hour.’
The actress said it is really high-time now and a woman’s safety should be prioritised by now, in every possible manner. Apart from Sam, actors like Hrithik Roshan also demanded for a harsh punishment to be given to the criminal. Initially, actor Ayushmann Khurana shared an emotional poem on the victim’s behalf, expressing his grief to the Kolkata doctor rape.
